March 2017 lesson plan for Transition

Each and every alphabet represent at least one sound; many letters can represent different sounds. So this month we covered till k,l,m,n,o,p,q. Our kids discussed words starting from all the above letters played games discussing the letters and sounds they make.

In March we learned about variety of water creatures, spring flowers, numbers, letters, shapes, alphabets and different types of vegetables and animals.

Active Dance & Story time:

We read stories and let kids participate through action movements like dancing, singing, and acting part of storytelling. When your child read, he or she looks at written words on a page and decides what spoken words represent. We read books, share stories, sing songs and rhymes to build oral vocabulary and also talk about meaning of words. Games and puzzles help too in teaching kids how to build eye hand coordination. We are doing puzzles this month and all our kids loved it. This month was very exciting for all the kids as we started the dance for our Graduation Day.
